Maserati to debut on the Indian market


Maserati has announced its entry into the promising Indian market, as a further confirmation of what this Asian country is increasingly important for automotive manufacturers around the world. The debut of the Italian brand manufacturer of luxury cars in India was marked by the opening of a showroom in Mumbai, followed by a second shop in New Delhi in early 2012. In addition, the Maserati is planning a substantial expansion of its sales network in major Indian cities by 2015.

New Delhi would have to absorb 40% of the entire distribution of the mark in the country, 35% followed by Mumbai. India is the 63rd in the world market for Maserati .

The market in India has registered 1.87 million cars sold in 2010, marking a growth of 25% over the previous year. The growth was mainly driven by the luxury car segment which recorded a sales increase of 70% year over year.
