2012 Hyundai Veloster - street deliveries


Deliveries of the new Hyundai Veloster will begin by the end of this week, after the recent delays. The manufacturer had to stop the distribution of new cars in response to some trade union protests that have caused an interruption of production. What the company says, however, all problems would be solved and deliveries of the 2012 Hyundai Veloster can finally begin. The first market to receive the cars will be Europe, followed by North America and other regions.


The car was presented at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show as a 2012 model. The coupe three-door is powered by the 1.6 range from 138 hp and maximum torque of 167 Nm The consumption of the new Hyundai Veloster are less than 6 liters per 100 km. The transmission is assigned to the DCT-speed manual or automatic (optional) six-speed transmission.

The performance of the new engine range is achieved by the use of technology GDI ( Gasoline Direct Injection ). The size of the Veloster 2012 are 4.22 meters long and 1.79 meters wide. The wheelbase is 2.65 meters.

The main competitor of Hyundai Veloster should be the Volkswagen Scirocco . Once introduced to the European market the new Korean price will be about $ 20,000, more than 2,000 euros less than the German rival.
