Earthquake Japan - Toyota back in full swing

Toyota has announced that its factories in Japan to resume work at full capacity since 18 April, one month and one week exactly from the earthquake and the tsunami that rocked the Asian country last March 11. In this period the manufacturer had to halt production at most of its plants, both for direct damages for lack of parts and components resulting from the closure of partners and suppliers. In addition to the Japanese market, these delays were felt in the United States and Europe.

The past seems worse then the first automotive company in Japan, although the production of new cars will stop again on April 27. Not for issues related to the earthquake or the consequences of the disaster , this time, but for the traditional spring break which will last until May 10.

Toyota has been the hardest hit by the manufacturer earthquake and its aftermath. The interruption of the supply chain was the most serious problem suffered by all producers, with effects that were felt throughout 's automotive industry .

Abroad, particularly in the U.S., companies like General Motors and Ford have also had to take measures to cope with the consequences of the tragedy that was taking place in Japan. A factory for the two manufacturers has been closed. In any case, the situation seems to be heading for a slow return to normality .
