2100 Chevrolet Cruze cars for Recall


General Motors announced a decision to recall cars for 2100 models of Chevrolet Cruze, due to a manufacturing defect. A hint of what the call the wheel of these models may have been set incorrectly. Although to date not been reported accidents or damage to persons or property caused by this failure, the discovery of a car involved in this defect has led the manufacturer to check all vehicles leaving the production line, as a precaution.



The error in the assembly phase is in particular the 2011 models of the Chevrolet Cruze , car introduced for the first time in Europe in 2009 and the United States in 2010. In North America, Cruze took the place of the Chevrolet Cobalt and the first three months of sales has registered over 50,000 new registrations . Only in the U.S. were produced more than 100,000 of these cars.

"We are confident that the car was found on which the failure of the steering wheel mounting system - said in a statement the Executive Director of the safety of General Motors, Jeff Boyer - is the only way out from our assembly lines for this problem ' .

The possible danger of a wrong assembly of the steering wheel are evident. And 'why the manufacturer decided to notify the owners of the Chevrolet Cruze potentially affected by this defect to bring them at the workshops allowed the brand to check and repair the problem free of charge.
